Mentors Care is a nonprofit organization that provides caring and consistent adult mentors and resources to at-risk high school students. Mentors care was established in 2009 and began partnering with Advantage Academy Grand Prairie East in 2020.
Mentors and their mentee meet on a weekly basis during a non-core class. Mentors Care provides a full-time on-campus Coordinator who works with teachers and campus admin to refer students and coordinate mentor/mentee relationships. Permission must be obtained from the parent or guardian for the student to be assigned a mentor.
