    Biology is the study of life and this course will help the students to better appreciate their natural surroundings, understand the marvels that take place on a daily basis within their bodies as well as realize the processes of life that are constantly in motion all around them. Students will use critical thinking and scientific problem solving as they conduct field and laboratory investigations on biological systems at the molecular, cellular, and microbiological level. Topics that would be discussed within this course includes cellular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and the developments and technology within biology that are ever growing and changing.

  • Description

    Scientific Research and Design is a project-based course designed to provide continuing study in various fields within science. Students in this course will be aware of the nature of science, the methods of scientific inquiry and how scientific information is applied and shared regarding society. The knowledge that the students have gained from previous classes will be expanded and applied to the independent and collaborative research projects. Within these projects, the students will design and execute their experiments before presenting their findings. At the end of this course, students would have developed the core skills of a scientist, giving them the necessary research tools in order to be successful.
