District Leadership

Dr. McDonald, Superintendent, began working at Advantage Academy during its founding years and has helped to develop the school from a mom and pop school to a multi-campus organization. Dr. McDonald received her bachelor's degree in Education from Oral Roberts University and her master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. In 2019, she graduated with a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University where she completed her doctoral research on the topics of character education and family engagement- two of her passions that are integral to the educational approach of Advantage Academy. 

Dr. McDonald believes that each individual was created for a unique purpose, and desires to help students develop a hope for their future. She loves her career and considers it her calling, but her greatest joy comes from being a wife and mother. It is her desire to continue with Advantage Academy for the remainder of her career where she plans to continue what founder Dr. Allen Beck started and to grow the organization in both quantity and qualit

Ms. Tonya Williams, Assistant Superintendent, has been with Advantage Academy since 2003. She previously served the district in the roles of Teacher, Site Director, Principal, and Director of Academics. Throughout her time at Advantage Academy, Ms. Williams has expemplified hard work, collaboration, and positive partnerships. She continues to promote these themes as she leads at the district level.

Ms. Williams graduated with her bachelor's degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe. In 2019, she completed her master's degree in Instructional Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. She believes the educational realm needs "passionately-committed leaders" and is dedicated to leading her team with a hands-on approach. Ms. Williams is most proud of her dedication to her family. Her favorite lyric is, “If I can help someone along the way, then my living won't be in vain."
