Allen Beck, PhD., was born in Oklahoma, raised in poverty, the son of migrant farmers and attended school in a one-room school house. His mother and several of his teachers saw the potential in the struggling young man and continued to encourage his learning. This encouragement instilled in him the value and importance of an education provided in a caring environment.  Dr. Beck graduated Valedictorian of his Senior class in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Beck has extensive experience as a teacher and administrator in public and private education. Dr. Beck was an essential part in the pioneering of one of the leading Bible College institutes in the state of Texas. In addition to his own education and his experiences in education, he also was a pastor in churches in Texas and Oklahoma and did missions work for over 10 years. Dr. Beck has traveled to over 30 countries and has learned to relate and interact with many different and diverse cultures.

After teaching in public schools and seeing the outstanding needs of the students, Dr. Beck pledged himself to finding a new and better way to educate that would dedicate itself to providing students with a purpose and a hope for their future. Dr. Beck’s dream became a reality when he applied for a “public charter school” contract in 1997. After receiving approval through the State of Texas, Dr. Beck opened Eagle Advantage Schools, Inc., in Dallas, Texas, August 1998 with 60 students.
