My name is Ms. Scott and I teach 7th and 8th grade Computer Technology Education. This is my second year as a certified teacher. Previously I was a substitute teacher for four years. I also worked as a ELAR tutor for grades K-5 for a year.
EDUCATION: I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Dallas Baptist University. I received my teaching certification though an Alternative Teaching Certification program. I am a firm believer that learning is a lifelong experience. I see every moment as teachable and I always learn something new in the process of teaching others.
ABOUT MY CLASS: My expectation for all classes is to come prepared to learn. I expect all students to be respectful, to follow instructions given, and to obey all school rules. I also expect students to respect each other and work together as a team. I expect students to comet to class everyday with the materials needed for class: a pencil/pen, a composition notebook for my class, and a pack of colored pencils. These are the tools that will guarantee their success in my class. I also ask that students be mentally ready to learn. Having an open mind to learn new things is the key to success for everyone, including myself.
ABOUT ME: I am a mom of 2 girls. I am very patient and I am always teaching. For me, teaching is a lifelong experience. I am constantly teaching and learning from those around me. I spend my free time writing, playing games on my ipad, and coloring.
I can't wait to meet ya'll!
