My name is Ms. Irerua ( Ms. I ! ) , and this is my second year as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at Advantage Academy. I have worked as an educator for 16 years and I am passionate about education. To give you some background, I grew up in the Dallas area. After high school, I went to Stephen F. Austin State University where I received my Bachelor's in General Business. I also have a Master's degree in Instructional Design.
When I'm not teaching, I love to hang out with my nephews, play with my dog, cook, or volunteer.
My role as a teacher is to be clear and concise with my daily instruction. My students will learn to solve problems and work in teams because this is a required skill in today's workplace. Students will also apply skills learned in their other classes because consistent reinforcement will foster student growth.

My favorite pillar of leadership is humility. I think this should extend to all in everyone's role. Spend time listening to others, practice mindfulness, focus on the present and be grateful for what you have.
