Hello Everybody!!! This is Coach Solis from Advantage Academy Waxahachie and I am very excited to be here for my second year of teaching.  My first year was cut short, but the eagles came back stronger than ever for my second. 

I am orginally from a place nicknamed the "Sun City." If you haven't guessed it, I grew up in EL PASO, TEXAS!!! I have two older brothers, the oldest lives in Minnesota and the 2nd oldest lives in Phoenix. I went to Burges High School, home of the mighty Mustangs.  There, I competed in cross country and track where I earned a scholarship to run for Angelo State University.  After completing my bachelor's degree in kinesiology, I moved back home to attend the University of Texas at El Paso.  I received a certification in teaching from UTEP. I then attended Sul Ross State University for a master's degree in Health and Human Performance.  During all that, I did find time to marry my wonderful wife who is also a runner. We currently live in Ennis and are loving every bit of it. We even have a dog named Kicks. 

In closing, I love being a physical education teacher here at Advantage Academy.  It gives me a way to help students become more active in their lives and teach kids the fundamentals of exercise. I aim to inspire and motivate my students to develop safe and healthy lifestyles, that will last them a lifetime.
