Aloha,

My name is Jared Macaraeg. I recently relocated to Texas with my family and am excited about the upcoming school year. I have been in education for eleven years, the last four as a teacher, and this is my first year at Advantage Academy. I have a background in ABA therapy, a degree in Sociology from Notre Dame de Namur and received my teaching credential in California from Azusa Pacific University. 

I am married with two beautiful children, one girl and one boy who will be attending Advantage Academy as well. I lived in Hawaii on the island of Oahu for 4 years, which is where I got into education as a paraprofessional for Hawaii Behavioral Health. After my son was born, we moved to San Diego and I worked as a Behavior Intervention Assistant for 4 years before going into teaching. 

I love the outdoors and feel at home whether it's at the beach or in the mountains. I am a huge sports fan and love to golf and play soccer in my spare time. I look forward to an amazing year where we will further develop life skills and have plenty of fun along the way!
