We are pleased to report a highly successful first Parent University of the 2023-2024 school year.
Parent University is an interactive and informative virtual meeting between parents and school administrators. Parent University is designed to engage parents by providing tools centered around how they can support their students in school and at home! You will learn about strategies to connect with your child, help them build resilience, and tools for academic & behavioral success. Parent University will also keep you informed on important happenings and opportunities at your campus. Parents are encouraged to participate in the meeting through discussion and inquiry.
At the first Parent University of the year, parents had the opportunity to hear from:
- Special word from Superintendent, Dr. McDonald
- Encouragement from District Chaplain, Marsha Martinez
- Presentation on connecting with your child from Brittany Fitzerald, LMFT-A
- Testing information from Dr. Katherine Stover and Dr. Jacqueline Taylor of Advantage Academy's Academics Department
- Campus news & upcoming events by campus principals
Mark your calendars for our next Parent University on November 8, 2023 at 6:00pm!

We are proud of our highly competitive pay for teachers and substitutes.
We are pleased to announce that Superintendent, Dr. McDonald and the Board of Directors have approved a significant pay increase for Advantage Academy teachers and substitutes for the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited about introducing new highly competitive rates, in many cases which surpass local ISDs, to reflect the value of their work. These new rates will ensure that we continue to provide quality instruction for our students throughout the school year.
In addition to salary increases, stipends are available for High School teachers, Special Education or ESL certified teachers, and those with a Master's Degree.
